This is a slim-case housing grade euro-sash lock where convenience locking doors is required and not for security reasons, such as a bedroom door. The benefit of using a separate cylinder is you can change the locks easily and the keys are smaller than standard keys. In addition, you can use a cylinder and turn which allows the inside of the door to be locked and unlocked with a thumb turn which is beneficial if you are fitting them to offices and bedrooms etc to meet fire safety regulations.
This lock will work with any standard UK 48mm centre euro-profile door handle or any rose handle with 2 matching euro-cylinder escutcheons. Please contact us if unsure.
